We’re pleased to announce the third annual Community Service Day will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016. This event is Folsom’s largest day of volunteerism and service. This major citywide event mobilizes hundreds of volunteers of all ages and interests to complete service projects throughout Folsom.
Our goal is to connect volunteers with projects that make a positive, lasting impact in the Folsom area. We are seeking community-based projects for this year’s Community Service Day event.
A community brainstorming meeting is planned for Wednesday, March 16 to explore and identify potential projects. The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Folsom Community Center located at 52 Natoma Street in Folsom. Please RSVP to email@example.com.
Does your organization have a need for volunteer assistance and/or a potential service day project? Consider submitting a brief proposal to Christine Brainerd, City of Folsom Communications Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, March 25. A list of requested information is below.

• A citywide food drive for the Twin Lakes Food Bank
• Clean up projects at Folsom Lake and Lake Natoma
• Bike storage locker at Powerhouse Ministries
• P&SVRR railroad equipment cleaning and Railfest site preparation
• Packing of 500 care packages for overseas military troops
• Wildflower seed spreading
• Women's Transition Center irrigation project
• Folsom History Museum beautification projects
• Tree plantings and acorn collections
