Folsom welcomes Lori Easterwood, new Library Manager at the Folsom Public Library. Lori joined the City of Folsom this summer with more than nine years of public library experience and an impressive educational background. In 2015, she received national recognition when named one of Library Journal’s Movers and Shakers for her work providing innovative library programming.
Lori previously worked as the Programming and Partnerships Coordinator for the Sacramento Public Library where she created the Library of Things, an innovative service that allows patrons to checkout household items such as sewing machines, musical instruments and board games. She holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts.
Lori’s love of reading combined with a desire to serve the public inspired her to be a librarian. Her favorite books include Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Persuasion by Jane Austen. She enjoys the sense of community in Folsom, the dedicated Library staff, and the enthusiasm of volunteers who have donated thousands of hours to the Folsom Public Library.
Meet Lori and her team at the Folsom Public Library located at 411 Stafford Street in Folsom. The Library is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Saturday and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
