A century-old bridge that connects Folsom and Orangevale has officially reopened to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians after a year-long rehabilitation and historical preservation project. The Orangevale Avenue Bridge is located on Orangevale Avenue between Placer Mine Road and American River Canyon Road. Approximately 1,000 vehicles cross the bridge daily. The construction improved the lifespan of the bridge, and all structural elements were replaced to preserve the bridge’s historical value. A ribbon cutting last Saturday marked the grand opening.
