Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) will soon begin work to remove trees under electric transmission lines to ensure safety and electric reliability for its customers in Folsom. In order to prevent tree limbs from coming into contact with power lines, PG&E Vegetation Management contract crews will remove trees across northern Folsom located around five to six miles of high voltage electric transmission lines beginning on Wednesday, August 30. The project will be conducted in the PG&E right-of-way directly under high voltage facilities. The work, which is expected to take approximately one to two weeks to complete, is being conducted in coordination with the City of Folsom and property owners. If customers have questions or would like additional information on the project, they are asked to contact PG&E Local Customer Experience Specialist John Ketcherside at 209-932-6463. Calls will be returned within 48 hours during the business week. For more information about PG&E’s vegetation management program, visit www.pge.com/trees.
