FOLSOM, CA- Firefighters from the City of Folsom Fire Department responded to a structure fire located on the 700 block of East Bidwell. Initially, one truck company, one engine company, and one chief officer were dispatched to the scene.
The initial call came from a private fire monitoring company that received fire alarm activation. Folsom Firefighters arrived within four and a half minutes after receiving the first 9-1-1 call. Upon arrival, there was fire and smoke visible from a front window of a restaurant. A balance to a full commercial structure fire was requested. Crews initiated an aggressive fire attack, searched for victims, checked for fire extension, and controlled the fire within eight minutes. Two additional engine companies and one medic unit assisted with the incident. All other additional responding units were canceled. The majority of the fire damage was contained to the area of origin. Crews remained on scene for approximately three hours to ensure all remaining hot spots were extinguished.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. There were no reported injuries as a result of this fire.
