The Folsom Turkey Trot, an annual 10K run and 5K run/walk, will require closures of various Folsom roads on Thanksgiving morning on November 23. The event benefits the Twin Lakes Food Bank, the Folsom Athletic Association's Never in Our Town Youth Scholarship Program, and the Johnny Cash Art Trail. The 10K run will begin at 8:50 a.m. and the 5K run/walk will begin at 9:10 a.m. Both events will begin at City Lion's Park, located at 403 Stafford Street, near the Folsom Public Library and Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary. The courses are on Folsom trails, bridges, and streets, including Natoma, Sutter, Reading, and Leidesdorff streets. There will be various road closures on multiple streets and rolling road closures to allow traffic in or out. Police officers and course monitors will guide traffic and detour signs will be marked. View the course maps or visit www.folsomturkeytrot.com for road closure details and more information.
