Structure Fire

FOLSOM, CA- Firefighters from the City of Folsom Fire Department and Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire located in the 100 block of Cascade Falls Dr.   A total of four engine companies, two truck companies, one medic unit, and two chief officers were dispatched to the scene.

The occupants were home at the time and were alerted to the fire and able to escape by functioning smoke detectors. Folsom Firefighters arrived to address approximately four and a half minutes after receiving the first 9-1-1 call.  Flames were visible from the garage in front of the home.  Crews initiated an aggressive fire attack, searched the home for any victims, check the home for fire extension, and controlled the fire within ten minutes.   Crews remained on scene for several hours to ensure all remaining hot spots were extinguished.  Additional support was provided by South Placer Fire District, City of Folsom Public Works, City of Folsom Streets Department and City of Folsom Solid Waste.

 The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.  There were no injuries as a result of this fire.
