The Leidesdorff Street trail connection to the Lake Natoma Trail/American River Parkway will be closed until the end of June due to the Lake Natoma Trail Gap Closure Project. The project limits are along the north side of Leidesdorff Street and Riley Street extending from Reading Street to Scott Street.
This project will create the first Class IV bike trail in the City, for exclusive use by cyclists. A separate parallel sidewalk will also be constructed for pedestrians. The bikeway will be 12-feet wide. This project fills the gap in the Lake Natoma Trail, providing for a continuous path around Lake Natoma, with connections to the Johnny Cash, Folsom Lake and American River Parkway trails.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of September 2018.
