Neighborhood Tree Maintenance Project Begins July 6

Trees are a beautiful asset to Folsom’s neighborhoods, increasing in value as they age and providing shade, habitat for wildlife, and helping to clean the air. The City of Folsom maintains a pruning and maintenance cycle in the Landscape and Lighting Districts to help ensure the health and longevity of all the trees. Tree maintenance work begins July 6 and continues through the end of the month. Some partial lane closures or lane shifts may be in effect at various times throughout the project.

Tree maintenance work will take place in these areas between 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday:

July 6 – Silverbrook: Glenn Drive at Folsom Boulevard, and along Seaton Drive and Natoma Station Drive

July 7 & 8 – along Oak Avenue Parkway, and along American River Canyon Drive south of Oak Avenue

July 9-17 – American River Canyon: Oak Avenue Parkway, and along American River Canyon Drive north of Oak Avenue

July 20-28 – Willow Springs: Iron Point Road and McAdoo Drive

Folsom residents who would like free wood chips for their landscape may email the project contractor to be put on a list; the wood chips are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For general questions about the L&L tree maintenance project, contact Zach Perras.
