The Gallery at 48 Natoma brings high quality, original art exhibits to our community that otherwise are not be available in the area. The City of Folsom Community and Cultural Services Division opened the Gallery at 48 Natoma in June of 2007. As part of a dual purpose building combined with a Senior Lounge, the Gallery at 48 Natoma and the Art Center comprise the entire front half of the 11,000 sq ft facility. There are two exhibition spaces at 48 Natoma: the professional Main Gallery and the Community Gallery. In the Main Gallery, an interesting line-up of art exhibits showcases a wide variety of art by regional and national professional artists, area museum collections as well as national traveling exhibitions. The Community Gallery features shows by local artists, community art contests, student work, and regional art organizations. Whether you “know what you like” or are interested in seeing something completely different; from the conservative to the cutting edge – there will be something here for everyone.

Vivid colors and a variety of techniques are brought together by three established fiber artists in the current exhibit at the Gallery at 48 Natoma in Folsom. “Fabric Messages,” showcases quilts by Lin Schiffner and Linda Waddle, and fiber sculptures by Susan Heller. Read more about the exhibit.
The Community Exhibition Gallery
The City of Folsom is celebrating the Centennial Anniversary of the Rainbow Bridge with a fantastic art exhibit by the Folsom Arts Association at the 48 Natoma Community Gallery.
A variety of paintings, photographs, sculptures and mixed media highlights the iconic image of the bridge as interpreted by 38 artists. The exhibit is currently on display from January 17 to March 1, with a free public reception on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 6-8pm with live music and refreshments.
Gallery exhibits are planned about one year in advance. Upcoming exhibits include photography, paintings, sculpture, textiles, videos and more! Past exhibits have included nationally acclaimed professional artists’ subjects from animals to automobiles, international paintings and photography from Antarctica to Africa, as well as top California art organizations and nationally touring museum collections such as from the Norman Rockwell Museum in Massachusetts and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. The gallery offers free school and group tours for all ages; from pre-school to scout troops to college classes to senior clubs.
Professional regional and national artists are featured in the Main Gallery, bringing art to Folsom that otherwise might not be able to be experienced locally. Local, emerging artists and students also have opportunities to exhibit their work in the Community Exhibition Gallery within the art center. Most exhibits are scheduled a year in advance. After you visit the gallery, make sure to stop by Folsom City Hall, 50 Natoma Street, to see the current display of artwork by members of the Folsom Arts Association. Their rotating art exhibit features great work for sale by local artists, including photography, oil and acrylic paintings, pastels and sculpture.
