Dine at Home Sacramento Senior Meal Program

The Dine at Home senior meal program is currently full and is not enrolling new participants at this time.

 Seniors who need emergency food can call the Adult Protective Services (APS) hotline at 916-874-9377 to arrange delivery of a bag of groceries from the Sacramento Food Bank.

The Dine at Home Sacramento program is operated by Sacramento County Agency on Aging/Area 4.

Seniors Helping Seniors Home Repair Program

The Seniors Helping Seniors Home Repair Program helps low income senior citizens in Folsom with grants to pay for necessary health and safety repairs to their homes.

Nutrition Assistance Programs

Drive up to receive food in the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church parking lot (320 Montrose Drive, Folsom) during regular distribution hours. Clients remain in their vehicles.

If you know a senior citizen or others who are unable to pick up their food, you can pick it up for them. Bring a current piece of their mail and a note giving you permission.

Twin Lakes Food Bank will offer grocery delivery to any senior citizen, 60 or older, who is housebound due to self-quarantine and does not have the support to pick up their food. Email info@twinlakesfoodbank.org to schedule a delivery.

  • Meals on Wheels Home Delivery Sacramento
    The Home Delivery Meal (HDM) program has suspended daily deliveries made by volunteers until further notice. HDM will reopen registration to new recipients and volunteers when the Stay at Home order is lifted. Questions about current services can be directed to 916-444-9533.
  • CalFresh
    This program can add to your food budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table. The program issues monthly electronic benefits that can be used to buy most foods at many markets, food stores and some farmers’ markets. For additional information on CalFresh, please call 916-874-3100.

Dial-A-Ride From Sacramento Regional Transit

Sacramento Regional Transit offers curb-to-curb transportation service for residents who have physical and/or cognitive disabilities as well as for senior citizens aged 55 and older.

Dial-A-Ride Services Operates Mon - Fri, 5:25 a.m. to 7:55 p.m. 916-556-0250

Ride requests should be made by 3 p.m. for service the following day. Ride requests may be made 1 to 14 days before the ride is needed.
