Citywide Food Drive September 19
Bags Out by 8 a.m.
Thousands of volunteers will complete dozens of service projects in Folsom on Saturday, September 19 at Folsom’s 13th annual Community Service Day. This major citywide event mobilizes hundreds of volunteers of all ages and interests to complete projects throughout Folsom that make a positive, lasting impact.
Community Service Day also includes a citywide food drive for Twin Lakes Food Bank. More than 400 volunteers will drop off empty grocery bags and a needed food "wish list" on every doorstep in Folsom one week before the food drive. They will return the morning of September 20 to pick up food donations left in view of the street. Last year, more than 56,000 pounds of food were collected. The goal is to exceed that amount in order to provide food for more than 18,000 local families in need of assistance from the Food Bank.
Please place your bags in front of your home by 8 a.m. Saturday.
