Neighbors Helping Seniors Projects
Folsom Community Service Day has many projects for parks, trails, and nonprofit facilities, but not all of the community's needs are in these public spaces. The Neighbors Helping Seniors initiative strives to help local seniors who need a helping hand.
Folsom seniors are encouraged to submit a project proposal using the form below for a small household project that our Community Service Day volunteers can accomplish in a couple of hours. Maybe you need some light landscape work to trim, clear, and remove debris? Perhaps you need a small tree or shrubs pruned to maintain a healthy and safe yard?
All projects must be done outside of the home, and the work is done through volunteers who have the very best intentions. We all need a helping hand at some time in our life, and supporting our fellow neighbors is part of what makes the Folsom community special.
There will be a total of 50 projects that can be accomplished on Folsom Community Service Day. Should more projects be requested, they will be reviewed by the steering committee to determine if resources can be assigned to complete the projects.
The application period for 2026 project submissions will close on August 18.
