The success of local businesses and vendors positively impacts Folsom’s economy as a whole, as well as the City’s ability to provide quality services and programs. The City strives to use Folsom vendors in purchasing services and products when quality, service and other factors are equal. The Folsom Municipal Code provides for a five percent price differential to local bidders in contracting.
The City of Folsom seeks proposals from qualified consultant firms to update the City's existing Pedestrian Master Plan and Bikeway Master Plan and combine the two into one Active Transportation Plan (ATP). The proposing consultants shall have relevant expertise, experience, and an approach that demonstrates their ability to provide the required services. The outcome of this effort is expected to be a new Active Transportation Plan that significantly advances the City goals for mode shift and safety. The goal is to have an adopted Plan by April 2021.
