    Basic Horsemanship with Shadow Glen Family Stables

    Participants will be taught horse history, horse care, grooming, saddling and western riding in this four week introductory class. Week one introduces you to Shadow Glen Stables, horse safety and basic care of the horse. Week two is how to catch a horse, crossties and knots used to properly tie a horse. Week three is learning parts of the saddle, how to care for the tack, catching a horse again and a shoeing demonstration. Week four ends with catching and saddling your own horse and going for a ride.

Bring a box of loose photos, photo albums along with a flash drive or laptop and we’ll help you get started. Each student can scan 100 loose photos and 15 album pages per class! This class also includes guidance on VHS conversion, hands-on studio space, a demo on converting negatives and slides, and coaching and ideas to help you get your photos out of chaos and ready to share!

    American Red Cross Lifeguard training will provide you with the certification needed to work as a lifeguard. Requirements for course: 300yd swim, retrieval of a 10lb brick in 7ft of water. Fee includes all books and materials. Participants required to pass swim test on first day of class: 300 yard swim, and brick retrieval. Bring swimsuit and change of clothes every class day.     Ever wonder how the Olympians do those front 3 ˝ or back 2 ˝ somersaults? Now is the time to learn! This four week program will introduce you to the basics of springboard diving and spurn your competitive spirit! Must be able to swim 25 yards to participate. Classes will meet every Monday & Wednesday night from 6:15 - 7:45pm, and Saturdays 10:15am - 11:45am at the Folsom Aquatic Center. Trampoline practice will take place weekly at the Folsom Sports complex with schedule being set between Diving coach and divers. Ages 8-99
