The 2016 Winter NFL youth flag football league provides young players with a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork. It is designed to educate young people about football while emphasizing participation and sportsmanship. Players learn skills and lessons that help them succeed both on and off the field.
Our volunteer coaching staff will draft 7-10 players per team. 6TH GRADE STUDENTS must register in the appropriate division according whether they are in elementary or middle school. We do not accept requests nor guarantee alignment with another player or specific coach.
Practices and games will be held Friday evenings on the all-weather turf at John Kemp Park. Genuine NFL Flag Football jersey and flag set included in registration fee. No special equipment necessary to participate other than a Mandatory mouthguard is required to play.

Recreational Youth Volleyball League with Aspire Volleyball Club
The purpose of our Recreational league is to provide boys and girls, grades 4th-9th, with an opportunity to learn the basic skills of volleyball. We teach the fundamental skills of passing, setting, serving, rotation, rules, and encourage 3 contacts on each play. This is a recreational league, ideal for players looking to have fun and play in local recreational league. Teams will play a weekly game as part of their practice time on Fridays. Standings will be reported during the season and on March 13 we will hold a Tournament of Champions at the Folsom Sports Complex. Rules are modified to assist in the learning process. 1 Practice/Game shirt included

Tryouts are not required for Development teams all players are guaranteed to make a team (space limited). Player evaluations will take place the first week of practices.

You’ll have the opportunity to get up close and meet some of our outreach animals, such as ferrets, skunk, tortoise and snakes. Are you 12-15 years old and interested in learning what it is like to be a zookeeper? Take the first step and join the Zoo Ambassador Program (ZAP)! Each day the ZAP class will be assigned an animal to care for. You will learn fascinating facts about the animals such as their diets, behaviors and habitats, provide enrichment for the animals and enjoy special behind the scenes opportunities while maintaining animal enclosures. Diets will be created and fed to the animals. The session will finish with craft projects for the animals or animal socialization. This is a rare opportunity to be up close and personal with zoo animals!
Each student will be at the zoo for 3 hours on the 2nd and 4th weekends of each month. Contact ZAP@folsom.ca.us with questions.

This program will provide the young Aquatic Adventurer the opportunity to train like a lifeguard, play outdoor games in the park, and Swim at the Aquatic Center! Participants will receive instruction on CPR, First Aid, Water Rescue Skills, and participate in actual Lifeguard Training every Friday! Participants will also visit the Fire Station 35 along with a visit from a Folsom Police Officer. Each participant will receive an American Red Cross Certificate in Basic Water Safety along with a Folsom Aquatic Center "Academy" Certificate. Participants will be swimming and learning everyday.
