This class is beneficial for dogs of all ages. You will learn effective ways to get your dog to do what you ask while building a trusting and respectful relationship. You will also learn how to give your dog the mental and physical exercise he needs, teach your dog not to jump on you, pay attention when asked, teach him how to sit, lay down, stay, come, walk on leash politely, wait at doors, and shake. Dogs must be four months and older, current on all vaccinations, and class participants should be able to handle the physical requirements and energy level of their dog. We encourage the entire family to attend. Children may attend class with an adult, but must be 9 years of age or older. We utilize only positive, reinforcement-based training methods, and do not allow dogs to wear choke chains or prong-type collars. No dogs at first class meeting. First class meeting is 7 - 9 p.m. at the Folsom Communicty Center East Ballroom.
